STATEMENT of PURPOSE
Having derived my roots around business I found myself appreciating the multiple facets of the management from an early age. Little did I know that over time it would prove to be the seed that blossoms into a career pathway. My research into career prospects revealed the compulsion of a strong association between the success of business and management. Such connection is essential not only for businesses but even large organizations to gain the competitive edge over others.
I have recently completed my Bachelor of Business in Accounting from LaTrobe University, I now embark upon to the next challenge of my academic route to pursue Master of Management from Melbourne University, following a similar notion as to Abraham Lincoln’s quote below
‘Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe’’.
During pursuit of my bachelor’s degree, I gained passion towards business management, the basics of management specifically. I realized that how important management is for the success of any business, either small or large. I have been part of my family business back in Saudi Arabia, that offers various media and photography services. My aim is to help my family, in their business and to be able to expand the business across different cities of Saudi Arabia its really very important for me to have Master of Management, with majors in HR and project management.
The experience I gain through my undergraduate degree in Accounting from LaTrobe University has equipped me with various essential transferrable skills like interpersonal dealings, public-speaking, accounting and financial evaluation. These are the skills along with the overall positive work ethic which I would like carry forward with me on my journey ahead and also equip myself academically to the highest level possible.
Management is not a new area of study, its very much part of any business regardless of the industry it operates in. What I have learned and realized that to be able to run a successful business, its really very important to have a good management skills. Reason for doing Master of Management through Melbourne University is mainly because of its quality education and its #1 ranking in Australia. To be able to get into masters of management at Melbourne University would be a perfect start for my next chapter, in which I am looking to excel and develop my HR and Project Management skills.
I believe that doing a Master of Management focusing on HR and Project Management will not only open number of different opportunities on academic level, but it will definitely help me in expanding my family business in Saudi Arabia. Mainly due to the underlying interest in business management and the rapid changes taking place in business environment in Saudi Arabia, I am very much interested in continuing my studies at a Master level.
My academic prowess with the Master of management coupled with the internship experience that I will get in Australia will definitely help me in developing my career. If I get accepted for Master of Management at Melbourne University, I see myself achieving my goals and dreams. The Master of Management would equip me with a qualifying project management specialist providing a platform to build my professional knowledge.
