Risk Management Plan for WorkSafe Victoria
Worksafe Victoria focuses heavily on making sure that Victorian workers are working in a safe and healthy environment. Following is an elaborated risk plan keeping in consideration the organizations principles and procedures:
Identifying the risk
Wressell, Rasmussen and Driscoll (2018) identify that the risks associated with perilous workplaces can be identified through past records, causes of accidents, employee’s perception and experiences with the workplace along with their relationship with the top management that indicate whether they are being forced to work in such an environment and if their say is being considered or not. It can also be identified through these factors as to how effectively their issues are being resolved in the past. Such factors highlight the kind of risks that can arise and require to be controlled beforehand.
Assessing and evaluating the risk
Once risks associated have been identified, they need to be ranked in terms of severity in order to prioritize them and coming up with ways to control and eradicate them. The consequences along with how likely and vulnerable the nature of this risk is, needs to be considered. Furthermore, the possible adversities that may arise after a risk has been identified including the after math it may have on the ongoing tasks, objectives to achieve and similar hindrances can also be kept in consideration so as to review the current policies to counter these instances (Dollard & Zadow, 2018).
