- This film is based on total 2 scenes. One is court room and other television screen. Scene 1 Requirements: A room set up like a court room, table, chairs, witness boxes, costumes of judge and lawyers, props for judge. 10 actors and 5 other people who can act as silent audience in a court room. Camera for recording. Scene 2 Requirements: Video making software, television set. Total budget of the film will be around 500 dollars. The time for shot will be a week including rehearsals. These requirements are in the capacity of individual student.

- This story is based on “The Castle” a movie released in 1997. This is a short version of this movie stating only the court room scene. For copyright clearance, an email for approval is sent to the production house and is being accepted.
- Briefly describe the research you undertook, or will undertake when developing your idea. [50 word minimum]
- The research about the aboriginal community was undertook. During the process, many dimensions arise to address the issues of this community but the land rights issue is not widely discussed. So I extended my research to it.
- Who is your target audience and why do you think your film will appeal to them? Reference where you gathered information on your target audience. [100 word minimum]
- Target audience for the film is common man of Australia, or even international audiences of any age. This film is based on the basic land rights so all the common residents must know about their rights and constitutional laws which can protect them. Common men of Australia usually watch films which are based on subjects like environmental issues, social and civil rights. This film is based on a aboriginal community people who are fighting for their land rights. There is long history of aboriginals.

- The protagonist of the film is Mr. John Gilbert, a family man who values the emotions rather than material things. In this film Mr. John has got a court notice to vacant his house as the nearby airport is extending its facilities to this land. He fight the case against this in court. After so many struggles he won the case.
- Describe your film’s inciting incident. [50 word minimum]
- A legal fight in a court room between Mr. John Gilbert along with neighbors and the state. It was all started with a court notice to vacant the houses in the runway area of airport as airport commission want to extend freight facilities.
- Describe your protagonist’s obstacle and antagonist and how your protagonist does or doesn’t overcome this. For documentary, this can be speculative (what you think might happen). [200 word minimum]
- John Gilbert’s obstacle was the state law of compulsory acquisition of land by federal government. He was being pushed down so many times, threatened, bullied, and tried to take bribe even. He overcome this legal battle with his confidence and family support and a competent lawyer.
- What is the Dramatic Premise or moral to your film?
- The moral of this film is to know your rights and never be a victim of system which can easily manipulate you. Know your rights.
- After discussion with your assessor, discuss how your idea has developed/changed. [200 word minimum]
- Assessor discusses some of the important points like characters should be described in more detail. Script norms should be followed. Keep your budget limitations in mind. So with these discussions, the idea of enhancing the characters has developed more.
