CID Reflective Paper

Word Count for reflective paper: 1000 word (+/- 10%),  excludes reference list

Format: Professionally presented using Times New Roman 12 point font, justified

References: Minimum of 7 scholarly work, referenced according to the RMIT Harvard style

This assignment requires you to look back on your learning and experiences in this course and provide a reflection of what you learned from the course and how you have both used and will use this learning in the future. The reflection must also be backed by a theoretical foundation and scholarly work.

How to write the reflective paper

  1. Identify which job/occupation you will enter upon completing your degree and briefly describe what this job/occupation entails
  2. Reflect on how two of the digital tools you've learned about in the micro-cred can be applied in your future job/occupation
  3. Reflect on how the learning from the course can be applied in your future job/occupation
  4. Provide one example from your life during the semester where you used the learning and skills gained from the course to creatively (i.e., novel and useful ideas) and effectively solve a problem/task you were facing
  5. You must support these reflections with a theoretical foundation (use a minimum of five scholarly work).

Creativity Journal:

To complete requirement 4 above, we recommend that you keep a 'Creativity Journal' starting from week 1 where you record at least once daily instances in which you exercised creative problem solving in your life, university or while at work.

In doing so, remember to record the problem/task you faced, the creative solution you came up with to solve the problem/task and the process you went through to come up with the solution (e.g., engaged in divergent and convergent thinking, used design thinking, brainstormed ideas etc.) and how your learning in the course helped you to come up with a creative solution. This journal will also help you to keep track of how creative you are and how you can further improve your creative problem solving skills.

Expert's Answer

Over the last few years things have changed a lot, not only in how we live, but also how we work, how we travel and most importantly how we communicate. Technology has a major role in this, as without technology all these changes were not possible (Richmand, A. and Triosi, J 2020). With technology it comes innovation, such as internet, mobile phones, computers and so many other smart things that we are not getting used to (Sasvari, P. 2013). Throughout this course I got to know a lot about innovation and how with the help of innovation anything is possible. The course CID Creativity, Innovation and Design has provided so much in depth about the media production skills, what tools to use, how to use and most importantly it has cleared a lot of concepts that I was not sure about or had absolutely no idea about.
