Project (Skills and Knowledge Application)

This task is the continuation of the assessment task 2 to promote the benefits of diversity to others both internally and externally. In this task you are making a presentation to promote the benefits of diversity to others both internally and externally.

Situation

You have revised the diversity policy and handled all the workplace complaints to establish a positive diverse workforce (Assessment task 2). In this task, you are promoting the diversity policy in internal and external forums. Internally, you conduct a webinar using a PowerPoint presentation. For the external forums, you aim to engage with all sections of the community. It encourages open discussion on the Facebook community group, promoting diversity policy.

Your Task

Complete the following workplace activities demonstrating skills and knowledge to promote the benefits of diversity to others both internally and externally:

Preparation activity

1. Access and read simulated workplace policies and procedures and use the relevant policies and procedures to undertake this task.
2. Meet with your CEO (assessor) in a role-play to provide feedback of revisions of the policy and improvements you have made to the diversity policy.
3. Gain his approval to continue with promotion of the diversity policy.
4. Develop a PowerPoint presentation for the use in your webinar and include:
   1. benefits of diversity to work team and others.
   2. Promotional strategies organisational workforce diversity in external forums
   3. role of diversity in gaining a competitive advantage for the organisation.
   4. how to support organisational efforts to champion diversity.
5. Write at least five comment statements regarding diversity and benefits to the organisation and others to post in external forums such as Facebook community group.

Deliver presentation.

6. Deliver your webinar for 10 - 15 minutes using either Zoom or Google Meet (both are free for use with free accounts) as agreed by your assessor.
7. Explain your strategies to improve awareness of challenges experienced by individuals from diverse groups in the work team.
8. Explain your promotional strategies for organisational workforce diversity in external forums.
9. Explain the role of diversity in gaining a competitive advantage for the organisation.
10. Explain how to support organisational efforts to champion diversity.
