Task 2

Your task in this assessment is to reflect on your participation in the exercise and what your experience, thinking and choices in the moment help you discover about your leadership practice. In addition, consider how you wish to grow and develop into the future.

After the exercise you will have opportunity to:

1. Reflect and consider your experience and capture some initial observations.
2. Meet in your group of 3 – 6 and engage in a double loop learning process to gather insight and reflection from the group in a collaborative learning engagement.

2.2: Leadership Experience 2 – Workplace experiential leadership reflections and recommendations

Part two of this assessment is a mirror of part 1, but instead of reflection on the in class experiential leadership exercise, the focus will be on your personal leadership practice within your own workplace.

You will need to identify a specific current situation in the workplace where you have the opportunity for leadership influence. Discussion and confirmation of specific situations within your workplace to focus on will be managed within the class time prior to the conclusion of day four of the program.

The current workplace situation you choose to focus on should:

• involve an area of operations, or relationships, or leadership practice, within your workplace
• be an issue/area in which you can and should have an influence
• have a degree of complexity such that the solution is challenging, and multiple options are possible, and multiple stakeholders are invested in the outcomes
