In terms of legacy of LA2028, the organizers’ mission is to start an annual Legacy Triathlon event from 2019 onwards as a means to build the Games legacy before, rather than after, the event by starting at the grassroots level, and over time build the event into a multi-day festival (Etchells, 2018).
