Section A: Skills Activity

Objective: To provide you with an opportunity to show you have the required skills for this unit.

 This activity will enable you to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Reading:
    • evaluates and integrates information and ideas to construct meaning in an effort to design and create a presentation
  • Writing:
    • communicates relationships between ideas and information in a style appropriate to audience and purpose in accordance with organisational and task requirements
  • Planning and organising:
    • plans and implements routine tasks and workload, making limited decisions on sequencing and timing
  • Teamwork:
    • collaborates with others to achieve joint

  1. Analyse the following scenario. Scenario A

A telecom company is working on a prospective business partnership with another telecom company. The deal involves several legalities, for which the Business team of the former company has asked its legal team to make a presentation on the key legal aspects.

Rodney Pitt is a Senior Manager in the Legal team. He has directed his team to conduct thorough research on the legalities involved in the deal. Based on the research conducted and the precise requirements of the Business team, Rodney has to create a presentation.

Suggest the ways in which Rodney Pitt can identify the organisational and task requirements for creating a presentation. (Max. 300 words)

Answer the activity in as much detail as possible. Equipment needed:

  • Access to an application to produce presentations, such as Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Example organisation, relevant information, and resources (if required).

Create a one-two page report to accompany each presentation. The report should explain how each task was followed and completed. Attach the completed presentations along with the reports to your workbook and submit them to the assessor.

This activity should be completed over a suitable period agreed with the assessor. You may create the presentations and reports in a suitable application.
