Time Management

In all honesty, I have never been good with time management. Over the years, I have only tried to follow my schedules but procrastination always left me behind. Nonetheless, I refused to give up and tried to do the best I could. First and foremost, I structured a schedule and decided to pick up pace in the initial days to coordinate with my plans. In the context of time management, the initial days turned out to be very good and fruitful. However, with the increasing workload, burden, stress and procrastination, managing the time became one big challenge for me. I left my plans for the end, thus meeting the goals and targets I set for myself had been a hassle given that I was left with little time. I feel that I could not manage my time because I lazed through my work and wasted time doing everything unproductive. Had I not procrastinated and followed the time schedule I prepared, things could have been better for me. I had to rush through the things I had left for the end. Reaching my targets became extremely difficult. No matter how hard I try to manage my time, I end up procrastinating as time proceeds.

Note-taking

Although taking field notes had been rather hectic, it was of much help. I cannot deny the fact that taking notes had been amongst the easiest tasks for me in the field study. What I really liked about taking notes is that it had no third-party involved. As per my experience, the involvement of third parties may distort the accuracy of things or affect their presentation. I really liked taking the notes without any form of intrusion into my work. In comparison to the recordings, I obviously did not have to carry equipment with me everywhere I went. This was the best part about taking notes. There had been quite a few instances where I was still unsure of what to write. In order to keep myself conversant with everything and stay mindful of all the activities I had performed and planned to participate in, I took notes. There is nothing better than jotting down stuff and flicking through the notes. Each time I flicked through the notes and the points I had jotted down, I was provided with a good ongoing record pf the things happening around me. However, taking notes had been rather time consuming. I spent hours taking notes and it had become monotonous at a point. It was not only boring, but also tiring.
